What is the difference between a CROWN (cap), a BRIDGE and a DENTAL IMPLANT?

A crown is a treatment that involves the use of an existing tooth that is damaged, cracked or broken. The crown acts like a cap on top of the tooth. A bridge is a treatment that is used when there is a missing or extracted tooth and relies on the support structure of the other teeth to sustain and fits inside your mouth. A dental implant acts and feels like a natural tooth and is implanted within the bone structure of your mouth. What is a deep cleaning and how do I know if I need one?

Deep cleaning is also known as, Scaling and Root Planing (SRP) or Full Mouth Debridement (FMD). Both services are offered at Twin Cities Dental and the best way to know if you’re a candidate for either is to visit our office for your preventative visit. SRP and FMD is a deeper and thorough cleaning on the mouth and requires extra long cleaning along and underneath the gum line.

When should I have my Wisdom Teeth Removed?

Not everyone is a candidate for wisdom tooth removal. However, it is more likely than not, that at some point in your lifetime you will need them removed. The best way to confirm if you’re a candidate is to visit us at Twin Cities Dental for an exam.

Every insurance company and plan will vary. It is important to check with your insurance company to inquire about what they will and will not cover.
